A postcard featuring the Cameron Trading Post dining room as it appeared in 1939. An influx of long-distance travelers sought fuel, meals, and lodging at the Cameron Trading Post in the early-mid 20th century. This inspired the Richardson brothers to expand their business model by adding a full-service dining room. They hoped to provide their guests with the authentic Southwestern experience by decorating the dining area with Navajo and Hopi rugs, pottery, and basketry. | Source:
