Note how the angular motifs and metallic details highlighted on their original neon sign carry over into the exterior design of the motel. The supports of the patio roof (originally the porte-cochère) mimic the stylized angles on the sign. The building materials, neon, aluminum, metal tubing contribute to the modern and slightly industrial look of the building that demarcate it as unmistakably googie. | Source: Photo by Emily MacDonellDownload Original File
