Rider descending Meteoride trail in dust

Meteoride was the first directional trail to be built through the Mount Elden Dry Lake Hills trail planning project. The trail is entirely downhill and intended specifically for mountain bike use. The trail was built by Coconino National Forest Service and MEDL volunteers who contributed over 500 hours in labor to the effort. “Meteoride” pays homage to Flagstaff’s legacy in astronomy, a naming convention typical of most paths built in the network after 2021. | Source:
