The Prince of Wales Hotel and Upper Waterton Lake, 2017

The Glacier Park Hotel Company named it after the then-Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII, partly to convince him to stay at the hotel during his 1927 royal tour of Canada. He didn’t– but the name lent itself to the hotel and the International’s elevated, sophisticated reputation. | Source:
