Camel Express

The Camel Express by Carl Rakeman portrays a camel train in the US desert, painted in 1857. Part of the reason why camel use did not continue after the government first imported them in 1856 was the truculence displayed here between the camels and their inexperienced handlers. | Creator: Carl Rakeman | Source: The Camel Express.
